Greetings from the Mikyo Dorje Institute project team!
News from KIBI
Lama Jampa and Dechen Dolma recently visited Karmapa International Buddhist Institute in Delhi. During their stay, they discussed the Mikyo Dorje Institute project with His Holiness Karmapa.
His Holiness gave his blessings to the project.
Website launch
The long-awaited website is now finished and here it is:
Dechen Dolma has described it as ‘delightful’, which is very pleasing for all involved in its creation! We hope that it will delight and inspire many people. Feel free to share the website with friends and people who may wish to get involved.
Property search
In recent months, several sangha members have been busy exploring the property market in Shropshire and Staffordshire. Thirty sites of interest have been reviewed, five of which were presented to Berry’s, our property adviser. Although none of them were suitable, much was gained through this exercise on our journey towards finding the right place.
The search continues!
Finance
The team recently updated Lama Jampa and Dechen Dolma on the progress of the project's financing strategy, which is interwoven with the campaign to raise awareness of the development, within the Dechen community, and which aims to inspire more sangha members to become involved and give their support.
Lama Jampa and Dechen Dolma listened attentively and offered kind words of encouragement to the team, as well as emphasising the importance of fulfilling Rinpoche’s great aspiration of a centre for the preservation of dharma in the West as soon as possible.
Aspiration prayers
Please continue to dedicate your aspiration prayers to the swift success of the Mikyo Dorje Institute development.
With aspiration prayers, determination and the blessings of our precious Lamas, we will certainly accomplish Rinpoche’s wish to build a magnificent temple and a secluded retreat centre, - a place where the dharma will be transmitted, hearts nourished, and minds purified and expanded during this and future lifetimes.
